Contrary to most prevailing opinions, discipline is not synonymous with self-control. Discipline is related to discipleship. "Discipline" is derived from the word disciple. Discipline is not self-inflicted tyranny. A disciple enjoys by doing, in living up to the standards of a higher value system and/or teacher with enthusiasm and love.
